A clear picture

Small squares.
Simple privacy.

PixelPaint is being made for the joy of painting. The app has no accounts, advertising or analytics SDKs.

Your paintings stay with you.

Painting progress, completed pictures, stars and settings are stored on your device. PixelPaint does not require a name, email address or account to paint. There is no online profile or community feed.

Removing the app or clearing its data may remove this local progress. There is no account-based cloud backup.

A connection for new pictures.

The included picture collection works offline from the first launch. The app downloads additional catalogue and art files from PixelPaint's content service. Once downloaded, pictures are cached on the device so you can return to them offline. New pictures beyond the included collection need a connection first.

Pictures are created ahead of time. Painting does not send a child's work, photos or personal details to an image-generation provider.

This website keeps things simple.

This website has no sign-in, forms, advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies. It requests its pages, artwork and current picture collection from the same PixelPaint domain.

Cloudflare hosts and delivers these pages and picture files. It may process technical request information, such as an IP address, to deliver and protect the service.

You choose where a picture goes.

Save, Share and Print use your device's system options. You choose the destination, app or printer and can cancel the dialog. Saving to Photos on iPhone or iPad asks for permission to add a finished image; this is optional and does not give PixelPaint access to browse your photo library. Other destinations handle the image under their own settings and privacy policies.

A note for beta testers.

If you install through TestFlight, Apple automatically collects beta usage and crash information and shares it with us. Feedback you send through TestFlight is also shared with us to help investigate problems. This is separate from the app's own code, which has no analytics SDK. Still a work in progress.
